Petrified : (Very Scared)“As the petrified old man shouted out in shock, the driver just said nothing and simply drove around him and sped off”




Speed off: To leave or depart very quickly or hastily, especially by driving

EX: The criminals sped off just before the police arrived



indignant : (Very angry) She may feel indignant but it's really unfair to deprive your daughter of loving grandparents.



Deprive: prevent (a person or place) from having or using something.



Enraged : (Very angry) He was enraged by news of plans to demolish the temple.



Gigantic: The hunt for a house has been a gigantic part of my life for the last year so I'm bound to feel as if there's something missing.





Bound: certain or extremely likely to happen:



EX: You're bound to forget people's names occasionally.

EX: These two young musicians are bound for international success (= are certain to be successful).



enormous: This book was enormously influential



Influence: is to power to make other people agree with your opinion or do what you want



EX: The government should continue to use its influence for the release of all hostages.



Cramped

There are hundreds of families living in cramped conditions on the floor of the airport lounge.





Jam-packed:

His room was jam-packed with fruit, flowers, gifts, etc.
